Pizza rolls and chicken nuggets!!!

Oh yes…I ate them…and I thoroughly enjoyed em’ too!  And you know what?  I feel no guilt about it either.  I didn’t go overboard with them and I knew all day what was going to be coming that night, so I knew to plan accordingly and kept my calorie intake on the low side to prepare.  The all nighter was great fun…they always are lol.  I weighed myself this morning, as I do every morning (I only officially “weigh in” once a week though) and was pleasantly surprised.  I’m not going to say how much I am down yet because my official weigh in day isn’t until Sunday and anything can happen by then.  I know enough at this point in the game to know that my daily weigh in’s flucuate up and down too much to rely on them.  But, I was able to get away with eating that junk food.

My seven year old crashed at 2 am, and I followed suit not that much longer at around 3 am.  Carried my son upstairs so he could sleep with me and leave room for the rest of them downstairs.  They all were done in by 4 am.  Not exactly an “all nighter” but close enough hehe.  We have managed to go until 7-8 am before.  Then everyone sleeps in until 10-12 ish.  It’s good times, it really makes for great bonding for us all.  We went swimming around midnight and then got in some Halo 3, Rockband, World of Warcraft, Guitar Hero and there was even some epic Lego building going on!  It just occurred to me that I should’ve taken some pictures!  Dang.  Wish I would’ve though about that.  We’ve never documented an all nighter with photos!  Going to have to make sure I do the next time around.

My daughter is currently cooking up some pancakes, scrambled eggs & bacon for everybody now.  She likes to do this for our breakfast, which of course is really a lunch, after our all nighters.  She’s a good girl.  She’s turning 18 in October and I’ve got to think of something special to do for her.  We’re going to go to Dave & Buster’s to celebrate in a fun, kid like way by eating pizza and playing arcade games.  But, I’m not sure what to do/give to her to make it a special birthday.  Any ideas?

Awwwww I love the picture of the kitties! ;-)
It’s really fun to eat some junk food when you’re working hard during the day and weeks, huh. You certainly deserve it, you’ve been doing a fantastic job! (I love Dave & Busters, by the way. I could spend hours there, and I do once in a while LOL~)
What better gift could your daughter ask for than to play and have some fun with the fam? I’m sure she’ll love anything she does with you guys. Does she like to rollar skate or bowl?
    Have a happy weekend, buddy!

You are such a fun mom…too bad I am an old lady, if not I’d ask you to adopt me!! LOL!! Glad you ENJOYED your all-nighter snacks, GUILT-FREE, that’s the important part!! I’m not surprised, by the way, that your daughter is a “good girl” you are a great mom and your husband a great dad, so why would it be that your kids would be any different? The foundation you have provided these children is what makes them the wonderful people they surely are!! Kudos to you Catrina!

I had a coworker same thing for her daughters milestone bday. we came up with making her birthday a Amazing Race! was fun setting up the clues of places she had to go and take pictures there with her friends. Sent her to the pet store for a pic of her petting a snake. then to a big park where she had to have a pic of her on the slide with all her friends. then to Hooters for a pic with the Hooter girls. a chinese place for fortunes. ending up at the pizza place. was a load of fun and at virtually no cost. then I went on my puter and printed the pics with narration and had it bound at office max so she had a memory book.

    What a great family event!

Has your daughter let out any wishes or hopes for her day? Based on her personality what would she like? At different times in my life I have either an extrovert or an introvert and knowing this might help you come up with something she likes. As I recall she has a bf? Maybe he has ideas.

Being a Mom is so important and you are so wonderful Catrina, truly. What ever you decide for that day, you make many days, likely all or most days wonderful for your children. Whatever you decide it will be great. Enjoy your week. ;)
